THE STORY - PART TWO
Hopping across islands, fiery Greek sailors delivered us to a hidden emerald cove. Greeted by an island covered in wildflowers. An old boathouse as my studio workspace, the sea at the doorstep of our abode. We watched the sky dance across the water each morning and night.
Between the boathouse and the sea you'd find me most days soaking the canvas (and myself) in the emerald waters and drawing onto the rocks to paint. This is where the body of work took shape.
Painting amongst the wildflowers, sun beaming down, the colours just hit different. Watching the gentle breeze touch the petals as they swayed in harmony upon the mountainscape. Drop two of this collection is an ode to abundance - to untamed beauty, new beginnings and the fleeting magic of wildflowers blooming beside the sea. Almost like a wink from heaven that a season of colour and delight was just ahead of me.

From rooftops washed in the glow of the setting sun to hillsides scattered with Spring wildflowers, and emerald waters where sheets of canvas floated gently upon the Aegean, Amanda painted in constant conversation with the landscape. Volcanic ash found its way into pigment. Salt settled into canvas. Light became colour.
Every painting feels like it remembers the place that made it.
The result is more than an artistic body of work. The Colour of Water is a personal journal, a meditation on presence, and an invitation to witness a season of creation shaped by sea, stone and light."
